Complaints Procedure for Code Violations

The WHO Code states that:

"Nongovernmental organisations, professional groups, institutions and individuals concerned should have the responsibility of drawing the attention of manufacturers or distributors to activities which are incompatible with the principles and aim of this Code, so that appropriate governmental authority should also be informed."

Complaints concerning non-compliance with the WHO Code or the applicable national code(s) may be submitted, with relevant documentation, to:

The Secretary General
International Association of Infant Food Manufacturers

Chemin Louis Dunant 7-9
1211 Genève 20
Switzerland

IFM will forward any complaint received to the named member company for investigation. If it is found that the complaint is justified, the company will take prompt and appropriate action. IFM will also forward complaints to non-member companies so that they may reply directly to the complainant about their remedial action.
