Corporate Responsibility

IFM member companies have always been keenly aware of their responsibilities to protect and promote the health and well being of infants and young children. Member companies have made products for this most vulnerable group for as long as 125 years, and their brands are highly trusted names in many households.

Keeping that trust is a result of knowing that the well being of young children depends on more than high quality products – it is also based on how companies address the environmental and social implications of their business. IFM member companies never lose sight of the fact that healthy babies need a healthy environment, healthy families and a healthy community.

Our member companies interpret their corporate responsibility as both a business priority and a social commitment. In their operations and throughout their supply chains, they continuously look for ways to improve environmental and human rights conditions. For example, they seek to conserve natural resources such as water and energy, make packaging more eco-friendly, and ensure that farming practices have minimal environmental impact. They also adhere to ethical sourcing and labour practices. Many companies are certified according to such internationally accepted environmental monitoring standards as ISO 14001.

IFM companies take responsibility for helping build the communities in which they operate, and they work in partnership with international and national public agencies and NGOs on a range of projects. To reinforce this commitment, many have signed the United Nations Global Compact and other global partnerships that seek to eliminate poverty and improve the quality of life for millions around the globe.

Take a look at some of our member companies and ways they fulfill their commitment to corporate responsibility:
